Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering

The taught elements of the program comprise an integrated package of University requirements, College requirements, Major requirements and Technical elective courses. All degree students must also complete an eight-week internship training course in addition to the taught courses of the program.

• The student must pass General Education Diploma of 70 % and must obtain 70 % in Pure Mathematics and English.
• A student who obtained a certificate from an institution outside the Sultanate must obtain an equivalency from the Ministry of Higher Education in the Sultanate.
• The student must pass the general foundation program (English, mathematics, and computer) as a general requirement for all students before starting the program.

After the completion of the educational program, the student will gain a solid foundation for a career in business, with energy production companies, with local,regional and national governmental authorities, or for continued education at the MSc and PhD level. Examples of career opportunities are at energy plant, electrical power plant, solar energy projects, wind energy planning, environmental section, manufacturing industries, oil and gas companies, etc.
