Dr. Abdullahi Aliyu is a graduate of Ph.D. in Clinical Pathology from the Universiti Putra Malaysia, He is currently an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Pathology at A'Sharqiyah University, Ibra, Sultanate of Oman.

Dr. Abdullahi started his career in 2005 as an Assistant Livestock Superintendent at the Kebbi State Ministry of Agriculture, Nigeria. In 2007 he graduated as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria and was promoted to the rank of Veterinary Officer and Senior Veterinary Officer II by the same Ministry of Agriculture in 2009 and 2013 respectively. 

Dr. Abdullahi was sponsored by the Kebbi state Ministry of Agriculture Nigeria to pursue master's program in Veterinary Pathology, at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria and graduated in 2014. He then transferred his services to the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, where he was employed in 2014 as an Assistant Lecturer to teach Veterinary Pathology courses at the Bachelor level. In 2016 Dr. Abdullahi was also selected by the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto to pursue a Ph.D. program at the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and was awarded Ph.D. in Clinical Pathology by UPM in 2019. Dr. Abdullahi Aliyu before joining A'Sharqiyah University was a Senior Lecturer at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria, Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aleiro, Nigeria and Aboubacar Ibrahim International University, Maradi, Niger Republic. He is engaged in teaching (Bachelor and Graduate students) and conducting research in Veterinary Mediine, Biochemistry and Nursing sciences in these universities.
