Talal Al-Wahaibi is an associate professor in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research interests are in the area of two-phase flows for energy and process engineering applications. They span from studies of pipeline flows of oil-water mixtures relevant to oil production and transportation to flow in homogeneous and heterogeneous porous media relevant to enhanced oil recovery. Currently, he is also interesting on the applications of ionic liquids as green solvents for chemical processes. He has around 100 scientific publications in these fields. He served as main supervisor/co-supervisor for 13 M.S. students and 7 PhD students. Al-Wahaibi holds a BS degree in petroleum engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, an MS degree from the University of Tulsa and a PhD degree from University College London in chemical engineering.
