Research and Scholarly Activities
Our faculty members are actively engaged in research and
scholarship across a range of engineering disciplines, with expertise that is
nationally and internationally recognized. Their research addresses both
fundamental and applied challenges, contributing to the advancement of
knowledge in selected areas while steadily building capacity in emerging
fields. The College of Engineering places strong emphasis on research quality,
relevance, and impact, aligned with national priorities and global developments.
A key focus of our research activity is collaboration with
industry and external stakeholders. Through applied research partnerships, the
College supports national and international companies in improving products,
processes, and services. In addition, faculty members undertake consultancy
projects through the EJAAD Program of The Research Council (TRC), Oman,
providing professional engineering expertise to industry and government
organizations while strengthening knowledge transfer and practical impact.
The College maintains active research links and
collaborative networks with universities and professional institutions
worldwide. Academic staff regularly disseminate their research outcomes through
presentations at national and international conferences and through
publications in peer-reviewed journals. Many faculty members also contribute to
the academic community by serving on editorial boards and participating in
national and international technical and professional committees.
