Career Guidance Services

A career guidance section provides career services for ASU students to develop their   competencies in self-knowledge, educational, occupational exploration, and career planning. This chapter describes the policies and Procedures relating to student services provided from career guidance section.

  1. Conduct career awareness programs for students. 
  2. The section Support ASU students to do career planning, and prepare them for the demands of the labor market.
  3. Refine and develop the skills of students through supporting them in finding training opportunities in various sectors.
  4. Arrange employment exhibitions and job fairs.
  5. Arrange career ambassador’s exhibition to develop student’s skills. 
  6. Group and individual consulting.
  7. Supervising of student companies.
  8. Encourage student companies to participate in related exhibitions and workshops.   
  9. Self-employment and entrepreneurship programs for students.  
  10. Conduct several programs and workshops related to employment skills for students annually (such as: career awareness programs).
  11. Support students through conducting mock Interviews for them in coordination with colleges in a semester wise. 
  12. Provide students Individual and group consulting sessions which improves their employment skills in a daily basis according to student’s demands. 
  13. Review CVs for students daily.
  14. Support students in attending exhibitions (career fair) organized through other institutions per the academic year.
  15. Encourage and support students to attend workshops that organize from Injaz Oman in Muscat related student’s companies.
  16. Organize career ambassador’s exhibition per academic year. 
  17. Organize and conduct career fair. 
  18. Arrange different programs and workshops assist ASU students and graduates in Self-employment and entrepreneurship programs for students.
