End of summer program for the academic year 2016/2017
Al Sharqiyah University has celebrated the end of summer program for the academic year 2016/2017 in the presence of Dr. Abood Al Sawafi – VC, and a group of faculty members and some parents of students who have participated in training courses which have been organized by the University in the summer and targeted students from the ninth to twelfth grade, the summer program this year involved participation of more than 140 students were distributed over 12 training halls, they have received training courses in English, applied and pure mathematics, chemistry and physics, the summer program comes to develop all scientific aspects and keep up with the expectations of students and their parents to enable the university to serve as scientific and cultural enlightenment for Al Sharqiyah region believing in its educational and social role in the geographical surroundings with the aim of preparing students for the new academic year and filling their leisure time to benefit the society in summer holidays.
The closing ceremony included a play entitled “Thanks to Al Sharqiyah University” which contained highlights on the importance of training courses for students and its role in giving them the skills needed to adapt with the new atmosphere of campus life. At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Abood Al Sawafi has honored the outstanding students and awarded them with certificates, on the other hand, Mr. Humaid Al Wahibi, Head of Professional Development and continuous learning center, said that our University was keen to provide students with an advanced research skills and prepare them for the next academic year in English language, pure and applied mathematics, physics and chemistry through a specialized teaching crew, the Center was eager to provide students with the skills needed for each year of study. At the end of the ceremony, the students and their parents thanked the University for its Contribution to the community through training their sons and daughters to fill their leisure time, parents also praised the effort of the faculty members during such courses.
